India’s domestic traffic back on track again and emerges as one of the fastest growing domestic market.
It's almost over two years of restrictions, India's aviation market is open to all International air traffic once again. India has emerged as one of the fastest growing domestic market in the world.
International flights are starting from 27th March, Already lots of airlines are started their operations from India which will boost India's aviation market and Economy as well. The air bubble agreements or code share between airlines will allow bilateral flight rights. And will help in speedy recovery. Recently Virgin Atlantic announced a code share agreement with Indigo. This agreement will increase connectivity of passengers between India and England. Passengers could book code share flights from 27th September.
Code share agreement means passengers who books the tickets with virgin Atlantic will be able to fly two routes Mumbai and Delhi (as there connecting cities) but the passengers on those routes will be able to fly 16 additional connecting cities across India through Indigo.
On the other hand Indigo passengers will be able to fly throughout Europe and United States with the network operator by Virgin Atlantic.
The travel recovery has already helped the low cost carriers such as Indigo and Spice jet as well as the full service carrier Air India. This will boost their Operations and Economy, and act as job multiplier within the industry.
The data from latest number of passengers travelled suggest that good recovery is well within reach.
The data from various Aviation agencies expects that growth in passenger’s traffic by 68% to 71%, with domestic traffic will be expected to reach at 65%.
With this available data experts says “India will reach full recovery within 1 Yr".
